John Stamos Formally Charged With DUI

John Stamos has been formally charged with DUI. Made famous by his popular role “Uncle Jesse” on Full House, his fans are in a state of disappointment. The actor, aged 52, is facing one misdemeanor count of driving under the influence and could spend six months in jail. The official charge stems from Stamos’ arrest in June when he was pulled over on June 12 in Santa Monica, California. Immediately following his arrest, the actor was taken to the hospital for an undisclosed medical condition. Later that same month, he checked himself into a rehabilitation facility and Stamos received a month’s worth of treatment for substance abuse.

He talked to Details magazine in September, saying, in part, “I’ve had a rough year with my mom dying, so it all came to a head, and it was a turning point.” The actor’s beloved mother passed away at the age of 75 in September of last year.

Whether or not Stamos will actually be sentenced to six months in jail is up for debate. This is the actor’s first DUI and, if he is treated typically, he will most likely be placed on probation and ordered to pay fines.
