Malika Haqq to Attend AA Before Arraignment

It seems that the Kardashian clan has friends and family to worry about in spades. Lamar Odom is still receiving medical care, and Scott Disick is facing weeks of rehab as he battles substance abuse problems. The latest in the line of Kardashian friends to find themselves in hot water is Malika Haqq.

Haqq was arrested and charged with DUI following an accident on the 101 freeway. The woman crashed her black Mercedes Benz and was ultimately charged with driving under the influence with a blood alcohol content of .08 or above. The exact results of her blood alcohol test were not released.

Two days following her arrest, Haqq took to Twitter: “I never imagined I would have to apologize for poor behavior and today I am thankful to be alive to say I’m sorry for my actions. My bruises don’t meet my shame. Learn from the error of my ways.”

At a recent hearing, a judge mandated that Haqq attend two Alcoholics Anonymous meetings each week prior to her upcoming arraignment. No one knows at this point whether Haqq will have to continue attending meetings beyond her next trial. It is also unknown if complying with this order will be looked upon favorably in court.

If you have been arrested for DUI in Atlanta or the surrounding area, do not fight your charges on your own. You need a knowledgeable DUI attorney with experience in the local court system.
