Fault Still in Question in Atlanta Accident

A crash at the intersection of Marietta Boulevard and Tacoma Drive occurred in the morning hours of Monday, December 4. The crash left five people injured, and it involved a semi truck and van. The Atlanta police are still trying to determine who is to be held at fault for the wreck.

According to reports, the driver of the van was removed from the vehicle and left in critical condition. Two passengers in the van said that the woman had the green light and was traveling through the intersection when her vehicle was struck. Her current condition is unknown. Three passengers were able to exit the van on their own, but one is now listed as critical.

The driver of the semi truck was also able to climb from his vehicle without assistance. Officials said that so many people walked away from the accident is amazing, especially when you look at the damage the accident caused. The Atlanta police are still trying to determine who was at fault in the accident, despite witness and passenger statements.

Once fault is determined, the injured parties may be entitled to compensation for injuries and property damage. The same can be said for you if you are involved in an accident that causes soft tissue injury in DeKalb County or the surrounding area. When a person is found to be at fault for causing an accident, they can be held responsible for the medical costs of injured parties.
