Former Basketball Star Arrested for DUI
Chris Duhon, former Duke point guard, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence last Monday in Putnam County, West Virginia. According to reports, the 33-year-old was booked just after 4:00 a.m. on Monday morning and was later released after posting a $1,000 bond.
The former college player is currently an assistant coach at Marshall University. He has been suspended for violating rules and policies of the department in connection with his arrest. Whether he will face any further sanctions by the university is unknown at this time.
Duhon is also known for playing in the NBA for four years with the Bulls, Knicks, Magic and Lakers. A former assistant with the Knicks is also on the staff at Marshall with Duhon.
Just as Duhon has seen, being arrested for driving under the influence can have serious consequences. Although he has only received a suspension at this point, it is unknown what he will face should he be found guilty of the charges.
