Local Accident Leaves Six Injured

An accident earlier this month left a Barrow County Sheriff’s deputy and five other people injured. The two-vehicle accident occurred in Winder during a pursuit of a person suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol. According to reports, the crash occurred at Athens Street and North Broad Street. The six injured people all received treatment at area hospitals for minor injuries. WARNER ROBINS – James Allen Dubry, 25, an off-duty police officer, was arrested early last week in Savannah and charged with failure to maintain his lane and driving under the influence. Dubry, employed as an investigator with the police department, is currently on administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation. LaGrange – Graduates of the DUI/Drug Court are being encouraged to find their salvation in support from others in their life. Eleven people were sent on their way after graduating the program last Thursday. Woman Arrested for DUI Seven Times

GATES COUNTY, N.C. – Alexandria Ferguson, 44, has seven arrests under her belt. Five of those arrests are for driving under the influence of alcohol. Because she has racked up such a record, she will be heading to prison for six months. Judge Edgar Barnes sentenced Ferguson to two-years in jail, suspending 18 months, and forcing the woman to serve six months.
